What is Citizen's Kitchen?
Citizen's Kitchen is a grassroots wartime meal operation started by Citrus & Salt after the October 7th massacre to help feed soldiers, reservists, and their families.

How did it start?
When the war broke out on October 7th, we put out a call for volunteers and started cooking. Tons of people showed up, with more coming every day after that. After outgrowing our small studio, the operation moved to a nearby restaurant that generously donated their space. Eventually we moved in to the new Citrus & Salt studio where we are based today.

What is it like now?
It's been over a year since the war started and we are still making meals once a week with volunteers. Citrus & Salt has also reopened and we are offering our classes and events alongside our volunteering efforts.
