Shlomo and Doron Hummus is a popular hummus shop based in Tel Aviv in the Carmel Market. It was founded in 1937 by Shlomo and Doron Cohen, and it has been producing delicious hummus for over 80 years.
We love this restaurant's location, tucked in the alleyways of the Yemenite Vinyard neighborhood next to the Carmel market. In addition, the chef, Elad, makes this place truly wonderful to be at as he always has a smile and clearly loves the creativity that goes into making this place special.
They have a menu with hummus covered with classic toppings like cooked chickpeas, tahini, fava beans, and za'atar
. They also have a 'special menu' with creative hummus plates like Mexican hummus ( Jalapeno, nacho pieces, pico de gallo), Tandoori hummus ( Indian lentils, curry, chickpea crisps), and our favorite, 'Hummuseniah ( vegan ground meat made of mushrooms and bulgar with almonds and Lebanese spices).
Other than hummus you can find salads here, drinks, and Malabi for dessert.
You can find them between 8:30-16:00 Sunday- Thursday, closing at 15:00 on Fridays, (closed Saturdays).
